The Word 10/02/2018 - Miracles happen when spiritual reality is imposed on natural realities

Abayomi G. Omotayo

John 3:31 (KJV) He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

Taking the verse above and connecting it with John 17:16 (NIV) They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

But where are you from if Jesus says you are not of the world? You are from above!

Ephesians 1:20-22 (Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:  And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church) together with Ephesians 2:6 (And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus) confirms this.

The import of this is that you determine the course of events here on earth not the other way round. For example, Jesus referred to Lazarus who was dead for four days and the Jairus daughter as being asleep (imposition of heavenly authority) when infact they were dead (earthly reality). Eventually, when Jesus got there, having spoken the word ahead, he raised them both as if they were just sleeping.

He called forth Lazarus with a loud voice (no one attempts to call a dead man, only a sleeping man or a man far away would one attempt his attention with a loud voice).

He held the little girl's hand and simply told her to rise up, just like anyone would raise a sleeping child.

Jesus walked and acted in the reality of his declarations. If you care to do the same you would get the same results. Why?  because 'Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world' (1John 4:17).
