Emir of Kano says the brain of our elite is in reverse gear. He called them anti-intellectual to be precise. We Agree!

“These attacks are aimed at diverting attention from the issues raised and all of us who are involved in this struggle must remember a few things. We are dealing with an anti-intellectual environment, and with people whose failure has bred a sense of insecurity which leads to incomprehensible, almost insane, reactions to simple advice” - Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II

Background
  • The Emir in a video message at the inaugural anniversary lecture organized by the Bring Back Our Girls BBOG movement to mark the three years of abduction of over 200 school girls in Chibok, Borno state defended his stance on publicly saying the truth even though it is eliciting indignation among the elites.
Our take on the matter
  • Truth is bitter. How else will you describe someone saying that Meningitis is as a result of God's punishment for the sins of fornication? How else?
Conclusion
  • In 2019, Nigerians will do well not to vote for intellectually bankrupt persons.
